Genera 2024: SolarEdge to Preview New ‘Energy Optimization Solution for Residential and Commercial-Scale PV for First Time in Spain

SolarEdge’s new ‘ONE’ energy optimization software leverages advanced AI-based algorithms to optimize PV production and maximize energy bill savings for system owners – with a dedicated solution for both homeowners (Residential) and business owners (Commercial & Industrial)

Madrid, Spain – 30 January 2024 – SolarEdge Technologies, a global leader in smart technology, today announces the Spanish premiere of its latest software solutions for both residential and commercial & industrial (C&I) PV at the Genera 2024 exhibition in Madrid (6-8 February). Available for visitors to demo for the first time in Spain, SolarEdge ONE will feature as part of the company’s expanded suite of PV software solutions (Hall 9, Stand 9D25) – designed to optimize PV production and maximize energy bill savings for customers.

SolarEdge ONE for Residential PV was developed to overcome import/export combinations in Europe, as well as homeowner uncertainty around prevailing utility rates such as dynamic and time-of-use tariffs. The new solution uses smart AI-based algorithms to optimize the performance of PV, storage¹, backup, and smart home appliances for homeowners, while taking into account real-time energy prices, weather conditions, predictive analytics, charging levels and system production. SolarEdge ONE makes hundreds of optimal energy decisions autonomously every day based on smart predictions of solar production, energy consumption patterns and electricity tariffs, enabling homeowners to maximize the use of excess PV, exploit periods of off-peak pricing and optimize the home’s load-control in real-time – saving energy and costs.

SolarEdge ONE for C&I PV applications is a real-time energy optimization system for businesses to maximize PV energy generation and consumption, storage  and local energy loads such as EV fleet charging. Designed to overcome the challenges of complex energy systems, SolarEdge ONE creates synergies across the energy asset portfolio, making optimal PV production and consumption decisions every day. This is achieved by smart algorithms based on aggregation of external data (e.g., daily utility rates and weather forecasts) and on-site data (e.g., historical PV production, site consumption and user preferences) and sophisticated algorithms to optimize energy production and consumption.

A new software tool for PV installers will also be unveiled at the show as part of the software showcase. Demonstrations will take place throughout the three-day event on a series of technology stations located on the SolarEdge booth. Additionally, the company’s team of experts will be on-hand to deliver training and provide advice on overcoming installation challenges.
