SolarEdge Showcases 10 Innovations at RE+ 24: Visit SolarEdge at Booth #40022

Residential Innovations:

1 .NEW Next Generation Inverter and Storage Solution
SolarEdge will showcase its next generation residential inverter and storage solution for the first time.  Details to be unveiled at RE+24 – visit the SolarEdge booth #400222 on the expo floor.

2 .New Domestic Content Power Optimizers - Manufactured in the USA
In Q3 2024, SolarEdge began manufacturing two new models of its Power Optimizer in Florida, designed to maximize the benefits of the Inflation Reduction Act’s (IRA) federal tax incentives. Manufactured domestically, these Power Optimizers will help customers qualify for domestic content tax credits for residential third-party ownership (TPO).

New SolarEdge Power Optimizer features include:
•    U650- Compatible with a wide range of PV modules and residential roof types.
•    U650X- Supports high-voltage (VOC) modules with up to 100V input voltage and flexible, multi-faceted designs with an 80V output voltage (planned availability: Q1 2025).

3 .Embedded PCS with Busbar Management (Power Control System)
SolarEdge Embedded PCS with Busbar Management technology is now manufactured into all new SolarEdge Home Hub inverters. This enables the system to monitor, balance, and control the currents on the main panel busbar, enabling the installation of PV systems that are up to 4x larger without requiring costly main panel upgrades (MPU).

This capability is fully embedded into the inverter, requiring no additional enclosures or mounting procedures. PCS upgrade kits are also available for customers with existing SolarEdge Home inverters.

4 .SolarEdge ONE for Residential
SolarEdge ONE is the AI-powered, smart energy manager behind SolarEdge Home that automates and controls a variety of features for homeowners. It optimizes home energy savings by analyzing usage, solar production, and utility rates. (Especially in TOU markets like NEM 3.0).

It will allow homeowners to participate in grid service programs (VPPs) and manage their battery based on their own preferences and modes of operation. It also enables specialized features like Weather Guard, a fully automated option that protects homeowners in the event of inclement weather and potential power failures.

Commercial Innovations:

5 .SolarEdge TerraMax Optimized Ground Mount Inverter
Expanding our offering for large-scale, ground-mount applications, the SolarEdge TerraMax(TM) Inverter, is now available with 250kW, 285kW models at 600VAC alongside the 330kW at 690VAC. The TerraMax inverters are combined with the H1300 Power Optimizers, and a new H1500 Power Optimizer that supports high power modules including G12 modules, will be introduced to the market during 2025.

The first USA based 1MW site with SolarEdge TerraMax™ Inverter, is now fully operational in Northern California, and owned by the Karuk Tribe. John McDonnell, Principal at “SunRenu Solar” and the EPC of the site commented, “We chose Terramax because it reduces power degradation and simplifies the installation process. The advanced module-level power electronics increases energy production, safety, and monitoring, aligning with our customer's commitment to innovation, safety, and efficiency.”

6 .SolarEdge TerraMax Virtual Central Solution
The NEW TerraMax virtual central solution supports 1MW / 2.5MW AC configurations and includes pre-wired and pre-assembled 3 or 8 SolarEdge TerraMax™ inverters, complete with racking, designed for a streamlined field installation and reduced labor costs. The solution includes the inverter rack, a junction box, and auxiliary components. The AC switchboard, with inverter breakers and an optional main breaker, can be mounted on a platform or pad and close-coupled with the transformer.

7 .C&I Domestic Content Products (Optimized in America)
We have a new product line, proudly made at our Florida manufacturing facility intended to be eligible*  for the enhanced federal income tax credit for domestic content.  This line includes our cutting-edge commercial inverters: SolarEdge Three Phase Inverter, and SolarEdge Three Phase Inverter with Synergy Technology, and an innovative series of Power Optimizers C651U, C652U.

8 .SolarEdge ONE for C&I
*SolarEdge does not provide tax and/or legal advice. The forward-looking statements in this document are accurate as of the date herein and are subject to change. Customers should consult with their own legal and/or tax advisor(s) regarding the eligibility of their project for the ITC, including the 10% domestic content bonus, to determine how the applicable rules apply to a particular project.

SolarEdge ONE for C&I is the Company’s first-of-a-kind energy optimization platform, developed by SolarEdge specifically for EPCs, Operation and Maintenance (O&M) providers and businesses. It is designed to serve as a single ecosystem for controlling and managing the site’s energy assets, including PV, EV chargers and building assets, such as HVAC, lighting, etc., enabling businesses to maximize energy savings and meet their environmental goals, by utilizing real-time data analytics to make intelligent decisions.

9.SolarEdge Go Installer App
Introducing SolarEdge Go, a new mobile application designed to empower professional installers. Now available in the US, the app unifies installation, management, and service capabilities, enabling installers to streamline their on-the-go workflow – virtually from the App. Equipped with a user-friendly interface, SolarEdge Go puts the full power of installer's entire operational capabilities quite literally at their fingertips. SolarEdge Go is now available, with additional features to be released later this year.

10 .Proactive Safety and Cybersecurity
SolarEdge employs a proactive approach to safety. SolarEdge SenseConnect Technology monitors Power Optimizer connectors for temperature fluctuations to detect and help mitigate arc risks. Additionally, SafeDC™ reduces the PV system’s DC voltage to touch-safe levels during grid failures or inverter shutdowns. SolarEdge also helps address cybersecurity risks by advocating for stricter industry standards and participating in global technical committees to set effective policy and standards. SolarEdge solutions are designed with proactive cyber-security measures at both the device and network level, designed to help protect data security and enabling rapid incident response to safeguard against potential threats.
