As a Senior Automation Developer, you will design and develop the automation infrastructure and testing environment for a wide range of SolarEdge devices and energy management systems. You will build robust, scalable test frameworks that validate complex HW/SW and firmware‑driven products. In this role, you’ll work closely with firmware developers and multidisciplinary engineering teams, driving quality, reliability, and efficiency across cutting‑edge renewable energy and power‑management solutions. You will take ownership of lab automation, integrate advanced measurement tools, and ensure seamless execution of automated tests as part of the CI/CD pipeline—ultimately contributing to the validation of SolarEdge’s next‑generation technologies.
- 5+ years of hands‑on Python development focused on automated testing, validation, or QA frameworks.
- Strong experience in HW/SW product testing environments, preferably involving embedded firmware.
- Practical experience working in lab environments, including operation of instruments such as:
- Oscilloscopes
- Spectrum analyzers
- Power supplies
- Additional measurement and debugging tools
- Proficiency with HW/SW communication interfaces, such as:
- CAN bus
- UART / Serial
- Ethernet
- (Bonus: SPI, I²C, Modbus, or similar)
- Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including integration of automated tests into development workflows.
Additional Preferred Skills (optional to include)
- Familiarity with test frameworks (e.g., PyTest, Robot Framework).
- Experience automating hardware setups or lab workflows.
- Understanding of embedded systems, microcontrollers, or real‑time environments.
- Knowledge of Linux environments and scripting.
