SolarEdge to Showcase Home Energy Management Solutions and Enhanced Safety Power Optimizers at Solar Solutions

April 26, 2022 – SolarEdge’s residential solutions will take centre stage at this year Solar Solutions International (12-14 April 2022, Expo Haarlemmermeer, stands C7 & K13). Highlights will include the SolarEdge Home Battery and Smart EV Charger, both now available to order in the Netherlands. Exemplifying SolarEdge’s commitment to advancing solar safety, the company will also showcase its S-Series Power Optimizers which now feature SolarEdge Sense Connect functionality for enhanced, module-level safety.

Complementing its product line-up, SolarEdge will host a series of interactive experiences throughout the three-day event. Visitors are invited to Stand K13 to participate in a live demonstration of the SolarEdge Home Battery, SolarEdge EV Charger, and the new SolarEdge Home Inline Energy Meter. These products – along with S-Series Power Optimizers – will also be the subject of a series of short product presentations that will take place each hour on the SolarEdge stands.

SolarEdge Home three-phase battery powers Dutch homes for longer

The SolarEdge Home Battery delivers high overall system performance with up to 94.5% round-trip efficiency Its highly efficient DC-coupled design requires just one power conversion to store energy, compared to three required with legacy AC-coupled technology. With higher efficiency, more solar power can be used to support more energy loads, running for longer. As part of SolarEdge’s complete residential solution, it allows homeowners to run SolarEdge smart devices on stored energy in the evening when power rates are higher and increase their self-consumption. Offering installation flexibility, the battery can be wall or floor mounted, either indoors or out.

Standalone SolarEdge EV Charger puts installers in the driving seat

SolarEdge has expanded its product offering with the launch of a EV Charger – a mode 3 charger suitable for both single and three phase installations. With rising electricity costs and increased demand for carbon neutral alternatives, the SolarEdge EV Charger represents an 
opportunity for installers to drive profitable new business growth from new or existing PV installations. It does this by unlocking the ability for homeowners and businesses to use excess or stored PV energy for low-cost green energy EV charging.

Easy to install either indoors or outdoors, the new SolarEdge EV Charger Includes an integrated 6m EV charging cable with Type 2 connector. It supports installation either as a stand-alone unit or as an integral part of the SolarEdge suite of energy production and management products. The SolarEdge EV Charger  integrates into the SolarEdge platform, system owners can control and monitor solar production, energy consumption and EV charging from a single app.

SolarEdge Sense Connect Technology raises the bar in PV safety

With the release of the S-Series Power Optimizers, SolarEdge is advancing from arc detection and interruption to arc prevention. The new S-Series range of Power Optimizers features SolarEdge Sense Connect, an industry-first functionality that monitors PV connections 24/7, detects thermal irregularities at the PV connector level,

and shuts the inverter off before an electric arc event can occur.  S-Series Power Optimizers offer module-level visibility of site performance, to maximize system uptime and energy production. This extra level of protection complies with the most stringent arc detection standards.
