SolarEdge Expands its Product Offering with the Introduction of a New Solar Powered EV Charger

Supporting increased EV adoption, this new stand-alone EV Charger can be fully integrated into the SolarEdge ecosystem

 
March 23, 2022 – SolarEdge is expanding its product offering with the launch of the SolarEdge EV Charger - Mode 3 charger (Maximum 22kW 32A). Suitable for both single and three phase installations, the SolarEdge EV Charger represents a significant opportunity for installers to drive new business growth from new or existing PV installations. It does this by unlocking the ability for homeowners and businesses to use excess or stored PV energy for low-cost green energy EV charging.

Easy to install either indoors or outdoors, the new SolarEdge EV Charger includes an integrated 6m EV charging cable with Type 2 connector. It supports installation either as a stand-alone unit or as an integral part of the SolarEdge suite of energy production and management products. The SolarEdge EV Charger is seamlessly integrated into the SolarEdge ecosystem, enabling system owners to control and monitor solar production, energy consumption and EV charging from a single app.  
The mySolarEdge app provides customers with smart scheduling options to remotely manage and program EV charging to take advantage of off-peak rates. The EV charge reports comply with EU MID metering standards required by some companies for reimbursing employees, and are also available via the mySolarEdge app.

The inverter and the new EV charger can be installed in separate locations, thus enhancing flexibility of integration and simplifying the process for both new and existing SolarEdge system owners.

When installed as a standalone unit, the SolarEdge EV Charger is PV ready, while also boasting an industry-leading 3-year warranty.

SolarEdge EV Charger will be on display on the SolarEdge booth at Intersolar 2022 (Stand B4.110 , Internationales Congress Center, Munich).
