SolarEdge Technologies Korea Limited is looking to recruit a Project Management(pre-sales) Specialist. As a Project Management(pre-sales) Specialist, the candidate will be actively participating in qualifying, bidding, and winning bids. The candidate will be required to perform market analysis, feasibility studies, risk analysis, EOI/RFI/RFQ/RFP reviews, prepare technical proposals, define project schedule, attend and/or present in pre-bid meetings and deliver technical trainings to customers.

The ideal candidate has solid hands-on experience leading and managing pre-sales activities for stationary energy storage and/or infrastructure projects; demonstrates initiative, clear-headed problem solving, and mastery of the tactical details for each project. 


What will you be doing

The successful candidate will work closely with Sales, Product Management, Product Marketing, Q&R and R&D. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to

  1. Identifying, gathering, and developing market trend data and potential business opportunities.
  2. Review customer RFI/RFPs, conduct feasibility studies and risk analysis, and determine compliance to technical requirements.
  3. Plan, develop, and manage technical proposals and/or reports based on customer RFI/RFPs.    
  4. Prepare responses to all technical queries in the bidding stage.    
  5. Attend on/off-line technical and/or pre-bid meetings to provide technical support.
  6. Monitor progress and performance of pre-sales activities, taking actions to optimize the quality of technical support.
  7. Identify ways to develop and improve internal processes to reduce turn around times and minimize delays.
  8. Maintain standard and non-standard internal/external technical documents. (Technical proposals, study reports, project document deliverables, all technical materials, etc.)
  9. Provide technical support to project managers when carrying out complex projects.

  • BS in engineering and 5+ years of pre-sales or project management experience. 
  • Proven experience to managing all aspects of RFI/RFPs, including but not limited to system design, standards compliance, etc.
  • Skilled in preparing, understanding, and red-lining drawings, including single line diagrams, mechanical drawings, etc. 
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Fluent speaking in English and exceptional writing capability required
  • Prior work in scale stationary energy storage industry (C&I and Utility sector), as a pre-sales engineer is desirable
  • In depth knowledge of battery system design, system integration, power integration and utility design process.
  • Multitasking capability to manage numerous tasks in parallel.
  • Cognizant of cost, schedule implications and able to make recommendations which benefit the bottom line.
