The Production Lead will support the North American manufacturing operations team in a highly visible role, where you will have the opportunity to use your broad skills as a technician and people leader, working with next-generation solar inverters and energy storage systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensure staffing levels and production throughput levels are achieved/ maintained.
- Train associates to be proficient in multiple positions/roles.
- Conduct daily and weekly safety meetings with all associates and cross-functional teams.
- Author incident reports and participate in accident investigations as needed.
- Identify production issues – resolve or escalate as needed.
- Operate equipment such as, but not limited to, torque control screwdrivers, hand and power tools, measuring equipment, soldering equipment, and automated testing equipment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, reliability, and manufacturing engineers to suggest design and/or process improvements and address reliability issues
- Coach production associates on assigned lines and workstations as needed.
- Perform employee performance assessments following Solar Edge guidelines
- Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned in the future
- A high school diploma or equivalent and manufacturing experience is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred
- Ability to work a flexible schedule and overtime, as necessary.
- Management or Supervisory experience preferred
- Strong communication and organization skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook and Excel specifically) is required.
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required
- Strong knowledge of raw materials, sub-components, and general production manufacturing.
- Understanding of production manufacturing operations to include: Raw materials, Product Specs, Non-conformance and associated rework, Units per hour measurements and targets
- Must be able to learn and understand the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements, and departmental procedures necessary to lead and troubleshoot assigned production areas
- Must be able to work independently and lead employees within a small group to ensure production and quality standards are attained and report issues to the supervisor
