Materials Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Materials Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in material science, with practical experience in lab work and understanding of the physical and chemical properties of various materials. This position will involve both hands-on laboratory analysis and the application of material engineering principles to support production and process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct material testing and analysis in a laboratory setting, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Analyze and interpret data on different material types, including metals, plastics, adhesives, ceramics, and thermal materials.
- Support the development and optimization of production processes and materials treatments.
- Provide technical documentation and reports, ensuring high technical writing standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address material-related challenges and support project objectives.
- Education: B.Sc. in Materials Engineering (MUST).
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in a materials engineering role, including lab work.
- Understanding of the physical and chemical properties of different material types.
- Familiarity with production technologies, treatments, and plating processes - great advantage
- Practical knowledge of ASTM/ISO standards and test methods for materials and processes - great advantage
- Ability to independently operate high-level analytical equipment, such as FTIR, SEM/EDS, thermal analyzer, and CT - great advantage
Soft Skills:
- Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- High analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- High technical writing skills for creating clear, detailed, and precise documentation.
- Quick to learn and apply new concepts (auto-didactic learning).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Hebrew and English.
