Position Summary:
The Manager, New Product Introduction is responsible for the new product introduction process in North America including inverters, optimizers, energy storage, EV chargers and other SolarEdge accessories. This includes owning and improving current processes and working closely with product and engineering teams on a global basis. Central to this process is identifying and managing diverse field trial sites and executing test plans to establish product readiness for new products in the North America Region.
The Manager, New product Introduction works closely with both the North America technical staff, as well as our headquarters design and product management team, to ensure that equipment meets local requirements, meets design goals, is easily installed, is well documented and performs as needed.
The Manager works with a diversity of teams, including technical marketing, codes and compliance, field support engineering, failure analysis staff and technical account management to ensure that stakeholders technical needs are met by the equipment. Central to this role also includes capturing comprehensive customer feedback to improve existing products and define new products. This role plays a key part in ensuring product success at SolarEdge.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage both a short and long term product roadmap to ensure regional readiness
- Maintain close alignment with global product teams
- Develop and manage field trial sites
- Gather product feedback to drive product improvements
- Communicate with customers about product availability
- Align internally with support, marketing, and operations functions to ensure smooth product launches
- Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to build rapport and establish/keep working relationships with customers, peers and managers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering or related field, preferred.
- Experience in solar, storage, or other power systems field, preferred
- Experience in product launch and new product introductions
- Stage-gate or other structured project tools experience, preferred
- Travel required <20%
FAIR PAY & A JUST WORKPLACE
At SolarEdge, we are committed to fair, transparent pay and we strive to provide competitive, market-informed compensation. The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $140k - $160k. It is anticipated that most qualified candidates will fall near the middle of this range. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at SolarEdge. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
