Quality and Technologist Engineer

  • The NPI Quality Engineer will report to the SolarEdge NPI Quality Manager and be part of the SolarEdge Production Quality team.
  • Contribute to establishing a robust quality system, work methods, and tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams both in Israel and internationally to enhance DFM, quality, reliability, and performance monitoring of SolarEdge products manufactured overseas.
  • Travel abroad to attend, audit, and report on NPI production at global contract manufacturers (CMs).
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and coordinate cross-functional teams for CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) implementation.
  • Implement improvement plans and actions to enhance production FPYs (First Pass Yields), field reliability, and cost reduction.
  • Work closely with SolarEdge Headquarters Quality and Reliability members to support global quality and reliability targets and goals.
  • Lead Quality and Reliability qualification and validation plans of new products safe lunch and new production lines.
  • Lead improved technologies implementation.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Materials, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Additional qualifications in Quality, such as Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Quality Engineering within multidisciplinary electronics mass production at EMS.
  • Proven experience in quality monitoring, failure analysis investigations, and implementing quality improvements that enhance field quality, reliability, and reduce costs.
  • Familiarity with various production methodologies, technologies, and processes in high-end electronics, electro-mechanics, and mechanical products.
  • Strong engineering skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient computing skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in Hebrew and English.
