Litecast Chooses SolarEdge Rooftop PV System in Bid to Become UK’s First Carbon Neutral Construction Supply Company
Spearheading the construction industry’s move to a more sustainable future, Litecast Ltd, has installed a 350kW SolarEdge PV rooftop system at its new £13 million production facility in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, the installation will play a major role in helping Litecast to achieve its goal to become the UK’s first carbon neutral construction supply company by the end of 2022.
SolarEdge Surpasses 1 Million RSD Systems Installed Globally
SolarEdge announced that it has surpassed 1 million installations of Rapid-Shutdown systems globally. With Hundreds of RSD systems already installed in Thailand, the field-proven inverter-embedded functionality was the first certified rapid shutdown with UL3741 in the country, meeting the new EIT mandatory regulation that came into effect June 1st of last year. Having already set the standard for safety in the PV industry with its SafeDC™, SolarEdge’s Rapid Shutdown Functionality has been verified by the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency (DEDE).
