SolarEdge is looking for a proven industry leader to drive our commercial sales group and execute on a plan of continued revenue and market share growth. Our commercial business group has a strong market position, with well-established sales, engineering, and support structures, and a significant pipeline of customers and projects forecast for 2023 and beyond. Complimenting our current product portfolio and project runway is an enviable roadmap of market-shaping technologies reaching across BESS, commercial EV charging solutions, and grid services platforms.


What will you be doing?

  • Identify and close sales opportunities in accordance with the Company’s overall strategic plans and financial objectives in the region
  • Develop and maintain relationships with solar distribution channels and strategic accounts
  • Develop a commercial sales team with a key focus on achieving revenue and margin objectives (The commercial sales team is to be built up by the head of C&I based on positive results and conversion moving forward).
  • Provide revenue forecasts and review sales results to ensure targets are being met; take corrective action where required
  • Taking ownership of devising, implementing, and executing a comprehensive commercial strategy that strikes a balance between core business activities and proactive business development. This pivotal role demands the ability to maximize short and long-term success by ensuring a robust conversion of opportunities into successful business outcomes.  
  • Create partnerships with new corporate customers and support our existing customers’ growth and success
  • Develop and manage an account base to achieve sales and margin objectives.
  • Build relationships of trust with our customers in collaboration with other team members through open communication
  • Reinforce partnerships with all stakeholders of the projects and effectively communicate and deliver on the SolarEdge value proposition
  • Implement and continually improve the effectiveness of sales processes, approaches, tools, and metrics to maximize opportunity conversion and forecasting accuracy.
  • You will support financial analysis and evaluation of potential projects with your Key Accounts, creative deal structuring, and new financing strategies
  • Represent SolarEdge in public meetings, industry forums, and networking events
  • Have a strong understanding of the PV industry, with knowledge of EPC, installer, and distribution channel business models

  • Proven Commercial Business / B2B Experience
  • Previous experience in the PV industry – an advantage!
  • Distinct customer service focus
  • Willingness to travel to meet with clients 
  • Experience in team management, with a proven track record of successfully developing and leading a team
  • The capacity to engage and influence corporate and executive-level stakeholders
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in an Engineering or Business-related discipline
  • Integrity-driven leadership skills, with a professional and innovative mindset
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both English and Dutch
  • Broad-based working knowledge of distributed network service providers (DNSPs), retail energy markets, the national energy market (NEM), and the new energy technologies disrupting this framework
